Probably the best thing to do in San Clemente is go to the beach! If you are not too interested in that there is a really cute downtown shopping area that can be easily window shopped in half a day. There are multiple restaurants and boutiques along this street. It is the main street that runs through San Clemente and it is called Avenida Del Mar.

There is also a pier with a seafood restaurant/bar called The Fisherman's Restaurant and Bar. Clearly I have not eaten there but every time we go down there it is packed so I am assuming it is quite good and the view is unbeatable. If you follow the same main street (Del Mar) all the way down to the beach you will run into the pier. There are a few other beachfront restaurants here and a few arts/crafts stores. Most importantly there is a really long nice pier to walk on and a truly incredible view.
